This is what makes the use of moving actuators under high pressure possible in the first place.  <\/p><h2>Structure of Hydraulic Couplings<\/h2><p>The classic coupling for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bf-hydraulik.com\/en\/hydraulic-hose\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Hydraulic Hose: Function, Structure &amp; ApplicationsA hydraulic hose decouples the actuator from the pump in a hydraulic system. This makes the hose assembly indispensable for applications requiring greater flexibility. Function&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">hydraulic hose<\/a>s connects the flexible elements positively. The coupling side is designed so that internal balls are loaded transversely through the area of their largest cross-section. This ensures a particularly stable and tear-resistant connection. At the same time, the connection remains rotatable. This is particularly important for all systems with moving actuators.    <\/p><h3>The Hydraulic Coupling is Two-Part<\/h3><p>It consists of the following elements:<\/p><ul><li>stepped, turned, rigid plug part<\/li><li>internal valves<\/li><li>socket side with balls, spring, clamping ring, and seal<\/li><\/ul><h3>Functionality of Hydraulic Couplings<\/h3><p>The hydraulic coupling is connected or disconnected on the socket side. To do this, the operator pulls the clamping ring back against the internal spring. This releases the internal balls and reduces their resistance. However, this resistance is still great enough that the coupling is not blown apart. The hoses are separated by hand. As soon as no force is applied to the internal valves, they immediately block the line pressure. The amount of escaping oil is thus reduced to a barely measurable minimum. When coupling, the clamping ring pushes the balls back into their position. They can still rotate there as in a ball bearing, but can no longer shift. The hose connection is firm and permanent.         <\/p><h3>Areas of Application for Hydraulic Couplings<\/h3><p>Hose couplings for hydraulic lines are used wherever actuators perform a large movement. This is usually the case where multiple actuators are connected in series. This enables multi-axis movements in which radially and linearly acting actuators alternate. If they become porous, they are a case for replacement.
